The National Debt is Child Abuse

The national debt is $9 trillion, and it grows by $22,000 every second. It’s like the average family of four having $125,000 in credit card debt. This is the inheritance we leave our children!

It’s a form of child abuse. Our children will either have to pay this off, or pay interest on it their entire lives. Let’s start reducing this massive debt and give our children a better future. It’s not going to be easy. It will require some serious belt tightening.

For example, let’s eliminate the federal Department of Education. All education is local — it’s done by the cities and towns. We don’t need a $50 billion bureaucracy in Washington telling us what and how to teach. Getting rid of just this one unnecessary department will give every child a $12,000 graduation present!
